Goal Setting Essentials – Step 3

By Tasha | Uncategorized

Goal Setting with Linkedvirtually

Getting You Prepared!

Here we are on the third step of our goal setting essentials exercise. Hopefully you’ve already completed exercises one and two. If not it’s not too late to go back and view those steps. We’re moving on, so get to those as soon as you can, deal?

You have completed the brainstorming activity, and the activity on becoming more specific with your goals. You should know what you want and need, and they should be written down on a separate sheet of paper.

Today we are going to cover how to measurability. To determine if you goals are measurable, ask yourself these questions…. How much? i.e.: how much money do you want to make….. How many? i.e.: How many of a certain item will you need to sell in order to get to that desired amount. How will I know when I have achieved this goal? You’ll need to track this.

A goal is measurable if you can measure the results. for example, a goal to build a bigger house isn’t measurable. Do you mean bigger for you? Bigger for your entire family and guests? And how will you judge that it’s bigger? A measurable goal would be “Build a 4 bedroom house that will accommodate my family of 3 and a guest bedroom. I will also need a large den and family room for family gatherings since we always love to entertain. This will be done by the last day of August 2015” That is measurable. If you build a 2 bedroom house, you haven’t reached it, but and if you build a 4 or 5 bedroom house, you have.

Be sure you write down these questions and any answers that you can come up with. No worries, we’re going to get this figured out, but I want you to follow the steps and be sure you’re getting to the heart of the matter.

Your homework for Thursday: Ask the necessary questions… How much, how many, how often, and how will I know when it is accomplished.

As always, these exercises are always better when done with a friend or family member, be a doll and share 🙂

Goal Setting Essentials – Step 2

By Tasha | Uncategorized

Goal Setting with Linkedvirtually

Are You Prepared?

Welcome back! If you’re here for the goal setting exercise, that means you’re really serious and want to grab your future by the horns.

So here we are at step 2! On the previous post I asked you to sit down and think about where you are now. Where you are in business. Where you are in life. Where you are in finances.  Your assignment was to write all of that down, and then to think about what you think you need to do to get there if you haven’t accomplished it yet. Are you clear on that step? Good!

Often times I have found that clients I work with know what they want, well kind of. Let’s look at an example: Faye wanted a family car. That’s great Faye, but you’re missing something. God will bless you with a family car, but you must be specific. When we went back to the board Faye was ready and clear on what she wanted. Faye wanted a black Lincoln Navigator with a GPS installed, and she wanted to have it by July 17, 2015. Now this is how you goal set. You must be specific. You must sit down and figure out what you want and how you want it.

You see, you can’t really sit down and figure out your goals if you don’t know what you want. You know you want more, but what down more mean? Do you want more money, more peace, more love? Be specific on what you want and then we can move on to the next step. Let me give you an example: have you seen the commercial where the guy has a genie in his garage, the genie says, “you get one wish.” Instantly, and without thinking, the guy yells, “I want a million bucks.” The genie granted his wish. There were a million bucks (deer) in his front yard and taking over his neighborhood. Funny right?

I want you to sit down and look over what you wrote on Monday, except this time I want you to separate them and then be specific. For instance if you wrote down more money, bigger house, vacation, family time, I want you to write them each on their own sheet of paper and get specific with them. You want a bigger house, write down what kind, how many rooms, brick or vinyl, got it? And then go on to the next goal, but on another sheet of paper.

Meet me here Monday Dec. 15, 2014 so you can get the next step! Oh yea, aren’t these exercises always better with a buddy? Share this post with a friend who needs some structure and kick some major bootay in 2015!

See Ya Monday,

Are You Prepared?

Can you believe how fast 2014 flew by? I mean seriously it was just Valentine’s Day, or so it seems. I’m blown away as to how fast this year has flown by, and although I’ve accomplished quite a few things. I’ve also failed at a few things. Let’s be real clear here, we all know in life it will not always go as you planned, but some things can very well be prevented right? << tweet that>>

When I sat down with my little planner and my vision on what I wanted 2015 to look like, I realized that there is no way I can get this done in one sitting. Especially if I’m just now thinking about it. So what I decided to do was to bring you along for the journey. That’s right. Starting today, with this post and going through the remainder of this year, we will go over and implement a task that you need to do in order to get clear on your vision and set some goals. Oh yea, in case you didn’t know, the whole purpose of goal setting is to actually do some work so you can meet those goals… <<feel free to tweet that too>>

We will address this topic on Mondays and Thursdays, and if you’re really off, we can jump on a video call and put the pen to the pad, deal?

So let’s get to your first step! I want you to sit down and look at where you are right now. No silly, don’t look at the room or space you’re in right now, haha, look at where you are in life right now. Where you are in business right now. Where you are in finances right now. Okay are you where you want to be? In 2013 did you make plans to be somewhere else? If you’re where you want to be and where you need to be, and don’t need anything else, then you’re perfect so just share this post with a friend and go have a martini. However, if you have work to do in order to get to where you want to be, then keep reading. 🙂

I want you to write it all down, that’s right pull out a napkin, a notepad, your phone… something… and write it all down. Write down where you are now, where you want to be, and what you think you need to do in order to get there. When you get clear on this, then and only then will we be able to go further.

Meet me here Thursday so you can get the next step! Oh Yea, aren’t these exercises always better with a buddy? Share this post with a friend who needs to kick some major booty in 2015!

See ya Thursday,

Facebook For Dummies?

By Tasha | Uncategorized

Frustrated With Social Media

It’s Not As Hard As It May Seem!

Have you seen those helpful books in most bookstores? _________ for dummies…. Well today’s post comes from a thought about those books. I have spoken to several people, some clients and some not. They almost always say the same thing, “I’m a dummy when it comes to facebook.” Well I beg to differ because whenever any of us embark on a new journey we often think we are behind but actually we are new to it, and with time we will have it mastered. Let me be the first to say you are not a dummy. You are a dreamer who has stepped out on faith and has decided to build your dream, so walk in it. Now I can step down off of my soapbox and get to business. J

Facebook isn’t hard, as a matter of fact it’s pretty self explanatory but some people are using it for all the wrong reasons. Let’s start with your personal profile. If you’re building a business, please don’t sell on your personal profile page. I’m letting you know this out of love and informing you that facebook will shut you down. So the best thing for you to do is to build a business page, this is fairly easy and can be done in minutes. Building the actual engagement on the page by providing quality content is what takes the hard work. You can’t just throw something out there and expect people to understand it. You must direct people on what you want them to do. Also don’t be salesy and pushy, NOONE and I do mean no one wants a product or service when they feel bullied. Now if you get the sale by being pushy, good for you but guess what, you won’t keep them as a long term client or customer. I mean that with love. Your long-term goal is to help, am I right? If you’re only there to make a profit, then you will not be in business long. Please look at the big picture.

Now that you are clear on what to provide and how to approach, let’s talk about when to post. Having any social media presence requires consistency. (Write that down and remember it). If you’re offering a product or service and you only show up to make a couple of sales, people will notice it and figure you out. Show up with great content, and be consistent with it. Provide motivation, share a behind the scenes picture, give a peek into your life, best of all – give something away. You want to be sure you are posting at least 5-7 times per day, everyday. As any good business owner, please don’t post all night long, your page needs rest along with you.

 Business Owners need love to:

Sometimes as business owners you also need motivation. If you’re going through some things and you need time to back away from social media and get your personal life together, set up a way for your posts to be done while you’re away. Let your fans know that you will be away for “x” amount of days and let them know who to contact if they need you. If you’re not taking care of you, your business will suffer also. Have a plan, set those goals, and believe God to help you.

Lastly, although there is so much more to cover, let’s talk about profiting. Be sure to have a call to action somewhere once or twice a day. Whether you’re asking them to sign up to your lists or asking them to buy a product, be sure you’re posting just that. If you need help with this last step be sure to set up your 30 minute free consultation and we can talk about your needs and steps to take.

I hope I have provided you with a few valid tips and encouraged you to no longer call yourself a dummy.

Here’s to peace of mind and quality service,

5 Ways to Grow Your Business Big with Facebook

5 Ways to Grow Your Business Big with Facebook

Grow Like Noone Else

Growing a business through social media can be a scary topic especially if you are new to the business world. Over the last 5 years businesses have turned to social media as an easy way to get the word out about their businesses and what they have to offer. There are so many social media channels out there and it can seem overwhelming because you feel you need to go all in and become a professional in them all at the same time. My suggestion is to start with two and grow from there. The main social media channel that I would start with is Facebook, and then I would join twitter. Facebook and twitter can kind of go hand in hand especially when it comes to posting, but we’ll talk about how to merge the two together at a later date.

Facebook doesn’t need an introduction, but it was started so that people both friends and strangers could get to know one another a little better, and it was started for college students only, but that soon changed. Friends, classmates, relatives, and even the elderly began to find each other and get a peek of what was going on in others lives all over the world. Isn’t that amazing? Who would have thought that something intended for one campus would spread like wild fire all over the globe.

Once different people started to join Facebook, then random people started to advertise on their personal pages and sell things (some legal, some not). That’s when Facebook began to set more rules, one of them being that is against Facebook rules and guidelines to sell anything from your personal page and can lead to you being banned from Facebook. Some people didn’t know that, others do and don’t follow the rules. I want you to be different; I want you to follow the guidelines and BUILD BIG BUSINESSES! When you do things in order, Facebook will back you 100%. That is why I have created 5 tips for you to grow your business big with Facebook.

1. Use Promoted Posts

  •  Promoted posts appear higher in news feeds, that means there is a better chance your audience will see them. When you promote a post, you have the option to target people that have similar interests as your niche. This can be very effective for your business if used properly. Be sure you have a goal as to who you want to reach, how many you want to reach and have great content so that when they arrive they stay there.

2. An eye catching FREE offer

  •  You might be thinking what does my free offer have to do with social media? Answer: It has everything to do with social media, if your page is set up correctly, your free offer will be offered on that page and when your perspective clients click it, it will direct them to your page. Give them something great because after all you want them coming back for more. Consumers love freebies! No one wants to sign up for something that is not going to help them. If you already have a free offer, great! Read over it, or listen to it and then ask yourself, “Am I being unique or like everyone else” and then ask yourself, “Is this something that would benefit me if I were looking” IF you answered to no to either one of these questions, then you have work to do. Change the copy and the graphic and try again. Great FREE offers lead to conversion, which leads to your bottom line growing with returning clients.

3. Create a community

  •  This one is crucial. When you build your Facebook business page, you want to have a goal to build relationship. Get to know your prospects “new likes”. Search them, read their pages, welcome them to your community. Be sure to ask them what they need and what they would like to see from you. This should be a part of your research daily. You should never stop building relationships. Share your life, offer your products, and offer your heart. This one step alone will keep them coming back because you are sharing your world. Be sure you are adding great content and asking for engagement on your page. You want to support your community and in return your community will support you.

4. Know your niche

  •  This step should be done before you even decide to call yourself an entrepreneur. I say that because you cannot be a Jane of all trades. Pick one, no more than two and master them. When you know your niche, whom you’re targeting, and what to say, you will build the business of your dreams. A big profitable business is what you want right? Do you know how to figure out what your niche is? If not contact me for your FREE 30-minute consultation and I will help you lay some groundwork on finding your niche.

5. Call to Actions

  •  A call to action can be a button, a banner, a graphic, or text that urges the reader to take action. A call to action is critical if you want conversion. You can build a huge community with triple engagement, have the perfect niche, and have banging content but if you don’t have a call to action somewhere in there, EVERYDAY, then your bottom line will not move up. It is not business etiquette to have a call to action on every post because the reader will be able to tell that all you want to do is sell sell sell. You should throw your call to action in your copy at least 3 times per day. It is good to be direct, but most of the time you can add a call to action without people even knowing it’s a call to action. Follow my page to find out what I mean.

I have given you 5 effective methods that can be used to help you grow your business using Facebook. Be sure you’re a part of the conversation and not just another business selling selling selling.

I’d love to hear from you, go over to my Facebook Page and tell me what methods you are using to grow your business with social media.

Here’s to building big businesses.

Always Aim for Amazing!

By Tasha | Motivation

Amazing View

What do you appear to be?

Look at that view! Isn’t it amazing?

How is your view? I mean what do you appear to be to people, do you appear one way but are the totally opposite?  As I grow my business, I begin to look at people and how they act. I look at the things they like to do. When I was in high school we had this thing about having to have new outfits every friday to wear. My parents never understood this. We weren’t in uniforms then like most schools in the area are now. We had a dress code, and we knew how to dress to impress. I remember my mom used to say why on earth do you need so much so often. My dad didn’t say a word he pulled out the check book and gave me whatever I requested.

Moving along to a few years after graduation I realized my parents sacrificed alot for us to have the things we desired. They weren’t filthy rich although they appeared to be. To me the unseen bank account appeared amazing. It appeared that I could get whatever I wanted because they never said no. How do you appear? On social media, do you appear to be this loving person that is always concerned about your fellow sister or brother, but in reality you’re horrible? Do you appear to have tough skin and don’t take anyone’s mess, but in reality you’re as delicate as a butterfly?

I said all of that to say that it is always best to show people exactly who you are and what you have. If you don’t have alot but act as though you do people will expect just that of you. They will want you to give and give and give. I don’t mean get on social media and say I have millions of dollars in the bank, who wants it. What I mean is to always be true, always be the same everywhere. I know you might be going through a rough patch right now and sometimes it may seem hard to post something positive. Don’t you know that someone is always looking. That very moment that you decide to post something great might save someone’s life.

I challenge you to be amazing. Be that person that shares exactly what they are going through and ask God to show up in your life and help you to reach the world. People are waiting on you to be more and to do more. You have a gift that needs to be shared. What is it? Share it with me here, or over on my Facebook page where I hang out everyday.

I can’t wait to hear how amazing you are.

Here’s to you!

A little happy goes a long way!

By Tasha | Uncategorized

A little happy! It’s that time of year again!

I love gift giving. I love the spirit of the holiday season, and for the most part everyone seems so nice and good spirits (unless you’re in walmart during rush hour). 🙂

Do you give gifts during this season or are you a scrooge?

I’m sure you’re reading this and thinking: gifting? I don’t have the funds for that and to spend on those closest to me.

Well I’m here to tell you that the ones you don’t know sometime need blessing way more than the ones you do know. Often times the people you know, you tend to also know their business like what they need or don’t need. The people you don’t know often times need financial and spiritual blessings. Think about a time when you had alot but you didn’t have the desires of your heart. Think about that for a moment.

A little happy goes a long way! What do I mean by that? Recently I was a little down in my spirit, not because I don’t have this or I don’t have that, merely because during the season I get to thinking of everyone and people that simply don’t have anything at all. I especially think of the children. During my sitting and rocking Friday morning, there was a knock on the door. I’m instantly thinking who could that be. It was the UPS delivery guy. If you’re like me you know when you order something and when you don’t. I was thinking he had the wrong address, or maybe my husband ordered something. Low and behold there was the cutest pink and black box addressed to me (see pic below). Inside were cupcakes from one of my clients. This gift was totally unexpected because I usually get a card or a thank you here and there. I told you this story because that delivery brightened up my day. I was like wow people really do care and they notice.

Cupcakes 2013

Before you get your gift wrapping tape in a wad let me be clear. You don’t have to send gourmet cupcakes or even anything of a monetary value. Have you ever tried sending e-cards? There’s a huge amount of FREE e-cards online that only take a few minutes to send out. Wouldn’t it be awesome for your clients, church members, or even neighbors to receive a little happy like that from you. Your words of holiday spirit, cheer, and encouragement would brighten up their day.

If you really want to get crafty and have the resources try making cards or a little happy for someone special this holiday season. Anything baked is always tasty and from the heart.

Get your kids involved so that they can share in the gift of giving.

If you don’t have the time for this, this is an inexpensive task that you can contact a Virtual Assistant for.

What little happy do you plan to use in order to make a heart smile this holiday season?

I’d love to hear from you.

5 Things You Can Outsource To A Virtual Assistant Right Now

By Tasha | Uncategorized

Get A VA To Help

Need Help and Need It Now!!

We have entered into what I like to call the “family time” months. I say this because here in the United States we have two major holidays quickly approaching, Thanksgiving and Christmas. During this time there is alot of traveling, shopping, and a large amount of time spent with family and friends. It’s hard to focus on the busy side of business during this time of year unless you’re a hobbit or scrooge himself. 🙂

There is no better time than this to delegate some of those tasks to someone who is available and willing to help you, and that would be a virtual assistant. If you are already finding yourself with stacks of paperwork, digital file system that is a mess, endless to-do lists, and voice messages so long that you cannot deal, then what makes you think it will all get organized during this season?

5 Tasks That You Can Outsource Right Now:

  • Blog – do you have content just sitting there but can’t find the time to get it posted? Outsource it to a virtual assistant. What might take you hours to do, a virtual assistant can get it done in minutes. Provide your assistant with the content, the photos, and any other nuggets that you would like to provide and it’s done for you.
  • Schedule – There are so many scheduling tools out there, but if you aren’t using them correctly or often, they tend to not do you any good. Virtual Assistants can deal with many tasks from scheduling appointments with clients, to helping to plan events. Be sure to let your VA know when you like to have family time, or personal events and it all will be scheduled.
  • Social Media – Do you use social media for your business? (you should) Virtual Assistants can get your posts scheduled for days and even a week or two ahead of time. He/She has it scheduled, but you still need to show up often and reply and build relationships with your clients and friends. Just think about how much time that will free up. A good virtual assistant can and will give you peace of mind.
  • Online Research – How many hours do you spend researching keywords, ideas for better copy, photos to use in your presentations and blog posts. Those are just a few of the items you search for. As a business owner there are so many tools and apps that you can research until you will end up getting caught up instead of producing content and products that will increase your bottom line. Outsource some of that to a virtual assistant.
  • Gratitude tasks – I know you’re reading that like, did she say gratitude tasks? Yep I sure did. We are in a season where everyone, whether they admit it or not loves to get gifts. Think about how wonderful and warm a person will feel once they receive a card or a little happy in the mail from you. They will think wow, he/she really does care, and that will lead to more business and a happy returning customer. A virtual assistant can write your holiday cards and/or send thank you notes. Don’t let this consume your time.

Hiring a virtual assistant for your business can be a great asset to your business. As a virtual assistant, we free up time so you can focus on GROWING your business. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope I have provided you with something you can use going forward. I will be happy to have any questions you might have, comment below or contact me. I am trained to give you peace of mind and quality service.

Serving in Excellence,

4 Simple Tricks for All Day Energy

By Tasha | Uncategorized

Having Trouble Staying Alert?

Stay Awake

It happens to the best of us. Everyday around the same time, we fall into a slump. Some of you might wake up tired! That sounds crazy right? You sleep all night and then wake up thinking you’ll be alert and ready to take on the day.

Do you run out of steam midday?

I have put together 4 Simple Tricks for All Day Energy!

Problem 1: What’s going on in your bedroom? I’m not talking about anything kinky. Studies have shown that a large percentage of people spend their time before falling asleep in bed on social networks, and some say the last thing they do before closing their eyes is check for texts. That’s a huge NO NO! The bright lights from gadgets may stimulate brain activity and reduce melatonin levels, which may make it difficult to both fall asleep and perk up the next day.

Solution: Make your bed a NO GADGET ZONE! Put your iPad, notebook, and phone chargers in another room. We all want to start the day fully powered, including your gadgets.

Problem 2: Are you hydrated? Cut back on fruit juices, sodas, and also flavored water. All of these contain loads of sugar and can cause fatigue.

Solution: You can never go wrong with water. Be sure you’re getting 8oz. a day or more. Not to favorable of water, add your own fruits i.e.: blackberries & mint, peaches & cinnamon, strawberries, just to name a few.

Problem 3: Look around…. What do you see? Are you surrounded by clutter? Clutter has a negative impact on your productivity.

Solution: Make it easy on yourself, clean up and get organized. It is good to put things away as you use them. Wash dishes as you cook. File papers back after you use them. This will save time and the clutter will not accumulate.

Problem 4: How’s your health? How have you been feeling lately. Have you had your thyroid checked?

Solution: If you’re dotting your I’s and crossing your T’s, have a great organized clutter free area, no stress, and get a full night’s rest, then it may be time to call your physician. Explain to them how you’re feeling and get the proper tests to make sure you’re in good health and living your best life.

Do you have any energy boosting tricks? I’d love to hear how you stay energized all day.
