Break Every Chain

breaking generational curses

I did it! I finally graduated! If you are feeling stuck or in a slump this post is for YOU!

When I first decided to share my story and write this post, I wondered if it would offend my siblings and even my parents. After much thought, I realized that what I am stating what I’m feeling and what I feel to be truth in my heart. After high school I decided to attend college, and just like so many others I didn’t make it through to graduate. I used the death of my grandmother as an excuse to not go back. We all know that grades accumulate over a semester and not within a weeks time. It’s true she was sick for a while and I would go to see her when I could, but I was young and naive, so I ran with that excuse.

Not finishing what I started has always haunted me. I wanted so badly to be able to say look I have my degree mom and dad finally. I decided to go back and stick with it. There were some long nights and early mornings, but I wrote every paper and studied the best I knew how. It’s difficult to run a business, be a wife, and mom of 3 and try to pass classes. Let’s be clear, I’m not 18 anymore (just a few years over though :)).

I’m writing this post for YOU!!! I am the first to receive a college degree out of my entire family, and to be honest I feel really proud. My parents didn’t graduate from high school, my siblings did but not college. I felt like I was trapped and would fall into the same path. I wanted more. I wanted to show my children that I really do practice what I preach. How about you? Are you stuck? Have you started something and want badly to finish? Get back to it!!! Find your way back! You’re probably saying, Hmmmmm it’s easy for her to say, but no it wasn’t easy. I felt guilty! Guilty that I wasn’t holding up my end of the marriage bargain. Guilty that my children were not getting the proper attention from me that they desired because of a paper that I procrastinated to write.

Look around you! Take inventory of your environment! Are there people on your team that are lifting you up or bringing you down? Do you have supporters (you need support). Find people that have made it to where you want to go, and become friends with them. If they are on social media look at how they act and carry themselves.

You have the right to determine where people fit in your life in every season of your life, but don’t let people tell you where they fit in YOUR life!

I pray increase over you, and pray that God will open up doors that noone can close in your life. God is about to pour out blessings over you and your family that you won’t have room enough to receive. Be a blessing.

I hope you enjoyed this post and can take something away from it. Do me a favor and find me on facebook and tell me how you will break away from whatever bondage is holding you back.

Continued Blessings,

Did You See Me Fall?

Fell Off the Wagon

I Fell Off The Wagon!

Well looks like I am back. First of all let me start by apologizing. I offer my sincere apologies if you feel isolated or a sense of neediness. I will be the first to admit that I fell off the wagon! What wagon is that? The blogging consistently wagon.

Have you ever been told to be sure to take care of yourself while you are taking care of others? Well guess what? I didn’t take care of myself. All of my client’s content is nice and spiffy and in order. They are all seeing tremendous results and getting more engagement because of me. But guess what? I haven’t written a blog post for linkedvirtually since March! Is that pathetic or what? I’m furious at myself for putting it off week after week.

I’m sure you’ve said to yourself, I’ll do it tomorrow when I have more time. Tomorrow comes and then next week comes, and next thing you know two months have passed by. I pledge right here and right now never to leave you like that again (at least not without a valid explanation).

This post is a lesson for me and you both. Stop putting off what you can do right now for tomorrow. First of all tomorrow may not ever come, and the world is waiting on you right now. They need you, they need your product, they need your content.

Thank you for reading and thank you for sharing.

Do me a favor, come on over to Facebook and tell me if you are pledging to get back at it also. I can’t wait to hear from you.

Warmly,

Tasha

You’re Gonna Do What?!

By Tasha | Encouragement

Don’t Be Discouraged!

-Confused-Woman-with-question-i-10165559

When I first told my mom the plans I had to work from home she said, “Yeah right, no one believes in stuff like that.” My mom is old school. She thinks that unless you physically get up before the break of day and head in to punch a clock then you are not working.

When I first started I had the typical thoughts of failure, and giving in to self-doubt along with public doubt. I prayed and cried, and then I prayed and cried a little more. My husband always said, “start over, who can you ask about getting started?” I didn’t know anyone, the only thing I had was Google and my God.

What people don’t understand is that God always puts us in certain situations just to see how we will take care of ourselves and His people.  I asked God to place His hands on me and to never remove them because I was afraid I wasn’t going to make it. He has done just that.

Working from home takes drive and motivation to get that butt up and get it done. Procrastination loves company. When I first started I lagged, I soon learned that if I don’t work, I don’t eat.  Any path that you decide to take will take time and skill to get to where you want to be. I am here to tell you that I am so glad I didn’t look back and decided to press on.

If I can shine my little light on one person, and inspire them then my heart is happy. The next time you decide to step out on faith and self-doubt, along with the doubt of others hits you; just say yep that’s right! I’m going to do it so move over, cause God and I are headed that way!

3 Things Needed To Work From Home

By: Tasha Smith

Have you been through many years of working from job to job to job, some of them you’ve loved and others make you sick to even roll out of bed?

People go through so much with their employers and the way the economy is going we feel that we have to put up with whatever is thrown at us. I am here to tell you that I feel obligated to help you get started in the right direction. The entire world is filled with people that should be entrepreneurs instead of sitting in a cubicle from 9-5 and not achieving their goals. Do you want to be at home more, and enjoy the life that you were designed to have?

If you are reading this you are definitely one of those people that are ready for a change.

It’s not hard to get started working from the comfort of your own home. The first thing you will need is a smartphone. You may ask why a smartphone? Personally I love the iPhone because with all the apps that a business owner can use, an iPhone is more versatile to your needs. Smartphones were made to hold tons of data, and to make a busy life on the go easy.

The second thing you will need to get started is a laptop. I say a laptop because you can go anywhere in the world that there is an internet connection, and take your business with you. If you are into coding you will definitely need your laptop for those purposes. 90% of the time I only carry my smartphone.

Now listen to me clearly when I tell you the third thing needed to start your business. You will need a willingness and desire to know that you can do this. You will have to work hard to get your business up and running, but know that I believe in you and will be here to guide you every step of the way. You know how you want your life to look, and working a minimum wage job will not get you there.

Right now I want you to choose the life you want, find your niche, and take action. Start somewhere! I’m in your corner, will you join me?

Warmly,

Be a better you

be better

Have you been down lately? Feeling overwhelmed? Me to. I have found that keeping a journal is an excellent practice for growth and letting things out that we sometimes don’t have the courage to say out loud. It is also good to keep a list of people you are praying for in your journal.  Learn to build healthy relationships. Sometimes people are dealing with bad days and don’t know how to get out of the hurt and anger so they tend to lash out on you. There is always an upside to every situation. In order to build healthy relationships, you must first know yourself and what you have to offer. Are you encouraging and can lend an ear to a friend? offer that. Are you a neat freak and know someone that is down and struggling with their mess? offer that. Are you good with children and can help someone with their kids today for only a few minutes? offer that. When we feel like we have nothing to offer, often times we are wrong. You have so much to give. Life is meant to be enjoyed and shared with those you love as well as strangers. Look around you. Do you see someone that looks to be struggling? There is always someone that is doing much worse than we are. People look for positive, warm, inviting atmospheres when looking for friends and acquaintances. Have you taken the time to sit back and look at some of the people in your life? Ask yourself why are they here. Are they keeping me lifted or tearing me down? If you aren’t around positive like minded people with goals equal to yours, change them now. You can never get different results by doing the same things over and over. From time to time we all struggle to uplift, but if there is someone that is always negative and everything you offer gets a lashing it’s time to move on. Their season is over in your life. Pray for positivity. I want you to know that I love you. I’m glad you are here. Do you have goals? Let’s get together and reach them. Let’s lift up your strengths and accomplishments and celebrate them. I encourage you to seek and live according to God’s will for your lives.

Blessings.
