I Fell Off The Wagon!


Well looks like I am back. First of all let me start by apologizing. I offer my sincere apologies if you feel isolated or a sense of neediness. I will be the first to admit that I fell off the wagon! What wagon is that? The blogging consistently wagon. 

Have you ever been told to be sure to take care of yourself while you are taking care of others? Well guess what? I didn’t take care of myself. All of my client’s content is nice and spiffy and in order. They are all seeing tremendous results and getting more engagement because of me. But guess what? I haven’t written a blog post for linkedvirtually since March! Is that pathetic or what? I’m furious at myself for putting it off week after week. 

I’m sure you’ve said to yourself, I’ll do it tomorrow when I have more time. Tomorrow comes and then next week comes, and next thing you know two months have passed by. I pledge right here and right now never to leave you like that again (at least not without a valid explanation). 

This post is a lesson for me and you both. Stop putting off what you can do right now for tomorrow. First of all tomorrow may not ever come, and the world is waiting on you right now. They need you, they need your product, they need your content.

No one knows your business the way you know it. You know the vision, so therefore you know how you want it to look and work for you. With that being said, it’s okay to want to make sure that everything is always done the way you want it. 

In order for you to make sure your business is running just as you want, you’ll have to add project manager to your title. With your new title, you’re farther away from focusing on the profitable side of your business. 

Why Not Team Up With A Virtual Assistant?

Steps to Outsourcing effectively:

  • Create a guide of what you want done and share your vision. 
  • Set aside time for Skype, email, or some form of contact with your VA. This is just a quick check in to make sure things are flowing as scheduled.
  • Be sure to provide various ways of contact – in case of immediate questions. Social Media won’t wait. 
This is your business. Virtual Assistants are there for you and help to carry the load. 
Don’t stress, get out of the mess, call a VA! 
The end result is that you run a happy, stress free, profitable business.

  •  Cost Efficient – I’ve heard many people say, “why should I pay a VA 30 bucks an hour when I can just hire an in-house assistant?” Let’s brainstorm shall we? With an in-house assistant you will need an office, office space for him/her to work, insurance, benefits, and an hourly wage. With a VA, you only pay for the hours you need. Virtual Assistants are business owners. Look at a VA as your partner and not an employee.

Don’t Be Discouraged!


When I first told my mom the plans I had to work from home she said, “Yeah right, no one believes in stuff like that.” My mom is old school. She thinks that unless you physically get up before the break of day and head in to punch a clock then you are not working.

When I first started I had the typical thoughts of failure, and giving in to self-doubt along with public doubt. I prayed and cried, and then I prayed and cried a little more. My husband always said, “start over, who can you ask about getting started?” I didn’t know anyone, the only thing I had was Google and my God.

What people don’t understand is that God always puts us in certain situations just to see how we will take care of ourselves and His people.  I asked God to place His hands on me and to never remove them because I was afraid I wasn’t going to make it. He has done just that.

Working from home takes drive and motivation to get that butt up and get it done. Procrastination loves company. When I first started I lagged, I soon learned that if I don’t work, I don’t eat.  Any path that you decide to take will take time and skill to get to where you want to be. I am here to tell you that I am so glad I didn’t look back and decided to press on.

If I can shine my little light on one person, and inspire them then my heart is happy. The next time you decide to step out on faith and self-doubt, along with the doubt of others hits you; just say yep that’s right! I’m going to do it so move over, cause God and I are headed that way!

Are You Finding It Difficult To Stay On Track?

If you are feeling stuck, this post is written for you!

As you may know, running a business can be stressful. Feeling overwhelmed comes naturally. It is not something that is planned, but it is a thought or feeling. Staying focused can be hard to do when you have projects to plan, pictures to post, deadlines to meet, and money that needs to be made. As the saying goes time waits on noone. I challenge you today to stay focused

Right now I want you to figure out what you can do yourself without taking up your family time. Your children and spouse value your relationships. You should be able to run your business and be available at any time for your loved ones.

Consider hiring help. I’m looking for that business owner that doesn’t know where to go from here. You are feeling stuck. You know your plans and what you want your future to look like, but you don’t know where to go from here. You have a few things in place, but you don’t know how to get more customers. You have clients, but need more. You want your name and your business to be world wide. You keep going to social media day after day, posting picture after picture, and nothing is going as you thought it would.
